It’s been a year 🥲 But as always, I’m incredibly G It’s been a year 🥲 But as always, I’m incredibly GRATEFUL I haven’t decided if me sharing this reel is cringy or not, but I’ve obviously decided to it anyway and share a little of how I felt this year… Year two down running Fado Made full-time, and I naively thought it would be easier than the 1st. I started 2024 with so much confidence, momentum, and optimism, and held onto that feeling for the first couple of months, but slowly I feel like I lost my “mojo” and was faced with a lot of defeat, frustration, disappointment, and second-guessing. Though slowly, Fado Made continues to grow and even if I am not exactly where I want to be right now, I have faith that good things are coming and the hard work I’ve put in will pay off eventually It’s been a hard year for small business owners, so I know I am not alone. I admire anyone who puts themselves out there with the intention to build something that they believe in, and need to remember that for myself as well. But again, I am grateful that I am able to do this. Thank you for being here and supporting my small business and big dream Here’s to 2025. Through the growing pains though, I am looking back at the highlights that got me through this turbulent year… In 2024 I… ~ Rebranded! Fado Made got a new look with a revamped logo, colors, and ideology ~ Got a new website! I had the pleasure of working with the ever talented @jbirddigitaldesign and finally got a website up and running that coincided with my brand as it currently is, and where I see it going (thank you, @imjessmess 😘) ~ Added 2 more Namkesakes! To the Fado Made catalog, the Natalja and the Patricia (available soon) ~ Fulfilled a lifelong dream! By having my accessories featured in 2 fashion shows in Knoxville, TN and Austin, TX with @fleurishknoxville and @slowfashionfestatx. Here’s to doing even more in the future 🤞 ~ Collaborated! With @reclaim.creative for said fashion shows. Reclaim. is a brand I grateful admire and I’m so honored I was able to work with them this year 💖 ~ Got creative! Though this year was slow in certain ways, it was a great time for me to flex my creative muscles where I was able to create products that I’ve been thinking about for a long time. In the long run, I believe my leather working skills have improved and I’m always grateful for that opportunity ⚡️ Overall, I am thankful. It was a tough year, but I made it though.
